Background: When, in 2001, the Rome Opera House asked the members of Voces Intimae to look for some paraphrases of Bellini operas, to serve as music for the ballet 'Passasti al par d’amore', no-one realised that they would find such an immense repertoire, mostly unknown and never re-published after the mid-19th century. This unique CD offers five of the best pieces they found, all beautifully played, and of course, all first recordings.
