Composer:
Leroy Anderson

Artist(s):
Rastrelli Cello Qt

Background: This German quartet is one of the most unique classical ensembles. Their aspiration is to prove it possible to play any genre of music on the cello - from baroque to rock! This album features pieces by wonderful composers from Astor Piazzolla to Leonard Bernstein. The pieces are adapted for the Rastrelli medium by the accomplished musician and arranger Sergio Drabkine, and he himself has a few original compositions on show here. A genuinely interesting compilation showing both the versatility of the cello and the great skill with which the Rastrelli Quartett play it.
