Background: This final release of the Complete Works of Tallis explores the most obscure and enigmatic corner of Tallis's output - his secular music. His music was admired and used by others beyond the Chapel Royal and the court. His reputation of greatness is reflected in William Byrd's elegy Ye sacred muses and the words 'Tallis is dead, and Music dies'.
