Background: This re-mastered SACD re-issue benefits from greater detail, impact and harmonic content of music and sound effects than on the original 1987 CD release. Classic themes from big and small-screen epics come to life on an even grander scale.

The original Round-Up was a two track recording and attempts to remaster it for SACD release produced unsatisfactory results. Finally, by going back to the various source masters Telarc's engineers have succeeded with a surround mix that they deemed worthy of release.

The SACD release of Round Up features three completely new mixes of the entire recording: a high-resolution Surround mix of the music and sound effects, plus two new stereo mixes, each made specifically for the stereo SACD and CD programme.
