Background: This is a reissue, in double album format, of recordings originally released separately, almost 20 years apart. The music is by three composers, linked by their births in or near Liège, in Belgium. The pieces by Du Mont and Hodemont, including some good examples of the work of the late, lamented countertenor Henri Ledroit, were recorded in the early 1980s, while the Mass by Gilles Hayne was produced in 1999.
