Background: A traditional program of advent and Christmas songs is still an important part of the Christmas season. How much more so when a modern ensemble like the Bavarian Radio Choir is singing, a group that is just as at home with modern music as with music of the past. The choir is conducted both by Michael Glaser, the ensemble's conductor for the past 15 years, as well as Peter Dijkstra, the 26-year-old shooting star who will take over as the choir's artistic director at the start of the 2005/06 season.
