Background: It is generally accepted that Victoria de Los Angeles possessed one of the most beautiful soprano voices of the 20th Century. In Spanish song she was surely the paramount interpreter of her generation. Victoria de Los Angeles's earliest commercial recordings were issued on 78rpm discs between 1948-1954. This Prima Voce disc is a transfer of recordings made in the 50s which show her voice in all its pristine, youthful and exuberant freshness.
