Background: Discovered in 1975 in manuscript 130 of the Biblioteca Nazionale Vittorio Emmanuele II in Rome, these vesper psalms still do not appear in the 'official' list of works by Victoria, yet there is now no doubt of their attribution.

Although the psalms were not conceived for a single celebration or feast day, they are presented here following the sequence of an office of Vespers, which facilitates comprehension of their function. These previously unknown works represent a genuine revelation.
