Background: The two works presented here both date from Dvorák's mature years. The fourth piano trio, known as the 'Dumky', from 1891: a few months before he set sail for the 'New World', and the Cello Concerto from 1895: the year his American experience came to an end. The former was a farewell to his homeland, the latter a call to return there.
