Background: Zhou Long is internationally recognized for creating a unique sound which blends musical elements from East and West with much inspiration taken from the culture of the Tang Dynasty (AD618-907). 'The Tang Dynasty has no surviving music' he admits, 'but the lilterature of the period has many detailed descriptions of how the music sounded'.
