Background: This second disc of Sibelius' works for piano trio from 1887-1895 consists almost entirely of world premiere recordings, the only previously recorded piece being the bright and optimistic Lovisa Trio. Of particular interest is the great Korpo Trio which, at 35 minutes, is the most substantial work on this disc and covers a whole range of emotions within its form.
