Background: This CD encapsulates a great partnership (which lasted for more than 30 years) of Janet Baker and Raymond Leppard who both started coming to Benjamin Britten's Aldeburgh Festival in the late 1950s. This recital had been especially requested by Britten and was wide-ranging both in repertoire and form. |
