Background: Sigiswald Kuijken offers a fascinating juxtaposition of the very well known Mendelssohn with the utterly unrecognised genius of Schneider, presenting the former's lesser-known Violin Concerto in D minor of 1822 and the latter's Symphony No.17 of the same year.
