Background: Andalucian composer Manuel Hidalgo, the avant-garde contrapuntalist who studied with Helmut Lachenmann, wrote the pieces on this album especially for Teodoro Anzellotti. It is the follow-up to Fumio Yasuda's Heavenly Blue, commissioned by Stefan Winter for Teodoro. Another important step to establish Anzellotti as the most important accordionist playing today.
