Background: A studio recording of Mahler's Symphony No.10 in its revision by English musicologist Joe Wheeler. Whilst there are four versions of the Tenth Symphony it is Wheeler's transparent and beautifully rendered score that has been hailed as the most faithful to Mahler's intentions.

Wheeler's fourth and final version of the symphony was first performed at the 1996 Colorado Mahlerfest, by the resident orchestra under conductor Robert Olson. Olsen returns for this recording; himself a Mahler scholar and instrumental in bringing Wheeler's score to fruition.
