Background: The pianist Vladimir Horowitz enjoyed a long career, from his début in 1926 to his final recitals in the 1980s. This CD includes the 1932 recording of Liszt’s B minor Sonata, a recording today of almost legendary status. It also includes two sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, in whose interpretation Horowitz gained wide critical acclaim.
