Background: In 2008 Patricia Petibon signed an exclusive recording agreement with Deutsche Grammophon. Her debut album, Amoureuses won 2009's BBC Music Magazine Award for 'Best Opera Album'. This release, Rosso, is an album of Italian Baroque arias accompanied by the Venice Baroque Orchestra and conducted by Andrea Marcon.

Patricia Petibon has been awarded three Victoires de la musique classique - as 'Best Young Talent' in 1998 and as 'Best Opera Singer' in 2001 and 2003.

"… she seems here to have developed an altogether more rounded tone, especially in the lower register, and has developed the rare ability to inject into her performance vocal characterizations which, to a large extent, nullify the need to see these operatic characters in the flesh … a glorious display of vocal versatility… " - International Record Review January 2009 CD review of Amoureuses.
