The DVD provides a real evocation of La Callas and is the product of painstaking research conducted with the collaboration of La Scala, photographers, sketches of sets, and the opera itself– everything is brought together to conjure up the great Callas.

In this film, Anna Bolena, La Sonnambula, and Don Carlos - operas of which no footage remains - will come back to life for the first time. The film includes rarely seen archive footage from Callas's glory years - the 1950s and 60s.
