Background: Mstislav Rostropovich (1927-2007), one of the 20th century's greatest musicians, filmed with the two most famous conductors of his generation - Karajan and Bernstein. The valuable historic material from the Unitel catalogue, which has not yet been available on DVD, features three important pieces of the cello repertoire with Rostropovich.
